Good Wednesday, folks. We have a weak cold front dropping across the region today but it’s a dry frontal passage. This impacts our temps as our back and forth temps keep living up to what March typically brings us.

The overall setup turns much more active by Friday and into next week.

Before we get into all that, let’s focus on the next few days. Highs today hit the low 60s in the south and west with the 50s for the rest of the state. The numbers in the north start to come down some as a weak cold front drops in. That allows overnight temps to drop back into the 20s for many.

Thursday afternoon sees temps range from the 40s north to 50s south with a mix of sun and clouds. Those clouds are ahead of a system set to bring showers in here on Friday. The models clearly show the best rainfall in the southeast…

That’s not all day rains at all. Lingering showers may be around into the start of Saturday with slow clearing through the day and cooler temps.

Sunday looks really good with upper 50s to middle 60s as winds start to come back at us from the southwest. This is ahead of a Plains storm system that brings showers and some storms across the region for Thursday. This likely slows down just a bit with a trailing storm system likely showing up later next week. Here’s the GFS showing just that…

The Canadian has a similar look…

As does the EURO…

As you can see, we aren’t close to beginning true spring just yet.

Make it a wonderful Wednesday and take care.
