Good Saturday everyone and Merry Christmas Eve. We have a seasonally chilly holiday weekend upon us and this will make for great travel conditions. I wanted to drop by with a few words on a super active setup for next week. After hearing that… I don’t feel so bad about my singing.
The storm that tried to form and move in for Christmas Day will be a day late in arriving. This system moves in late Monday and continues into Tuesday night and should bring another heavy rain event with a change to a mix or some snow.
Here is how it looks on the GFS…
The GFS Ensembles agree with the overall setup…
It’s an active pattern next week that will feature two more systems diving in from the northwest before the week is over. These will bring rain or snow to our region.
On a holiday weather note… Many of you have heard the automated voice on NOAA weather radio. I doubt you’ve heard it like this…

THIS HOLIDAY WWEATHER = DEPRESSING. NOT THAT IT IS ANYONES FAULT, IT JUST SUCKS. GFS IS NOT SHOWING ANYTHING INTERESTING AT ALL OUT TO JANUARY 7TH. MODELS ARE CRAZY THOUGH. THEY DONT KNOW THE SUN FROM A STORM. UHHHH, KENTUCKY WINTERS SUCK HORRIBLY. ID RATHER BE IN FLORIDA WHERE IT IS AT LEAST SUNNY OR JUST A BIT TO THE NORTH WHERE THEY ACTUALLY GET FLURRIES ONCE IN A WHILE. OH WELL, HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR.

people, it is christmas and even though the weather may not be cooperating we still need to make the best of things and try to have a little bit of fun…..god bless!!!!
i am a big bengal fan but it still not looking good after today even if they win and the jets lose because they have baltimore next week, not sure who the jets plat but cincy has not fared very well at all against winning teams this year such as houston, pitt., baltimore, heck 2 times in a row they barely beat the browns and last week they had all kinds of trouble with the lowly rams.
i know the bengals have a lot of injuries right now but then again so does the rest of the division.
i made a prediction in the office where i work at earlier in the season, about 2 games into the season that cincy would be about a 500 tem this season and any thing better than that would be a bonus, so i think that they have already over played their expectations for the season but like the weather, as long as there is hope we can root for them.

12z Nam predicting another cold rain for Ky. Central Indiana could receive an accumulating snow. Man! I hope I receive a bottle booze as a gift tonight. Merry X Mas to all the passionate people who read and give opinions on this blog. And kudos to my man Chris.
They do have a tough road to go, but if you remember the Bengals got robbed at Baltimore on the late touchdown called back and they had to settle for a field goal and then drove back down the field and were well within range to kick a field goal but had to go for a touchdown to tie because of the blown call the drive before. It’s Christmas time, believe and it will come true, Bengals make playoff. By the way Jets play at Miami next week.
no snow for central indy either, just not enough cold air in place…perhaps some mixing or snow showers in the ft wayne area
here in Kentucky it is not abnormal to see winters with very little or no snow in December, but it is amazing how some area much further north have struggled to receive snow thus far, therefore until it starts snowing in these areas, i do not have much faith in KY receiving any accumulating snow. Year without a accumulating snow here is unlikely but maybe.

While odds almost always favor it, the first accumulating snow of the season doesn’t necessarily have to hit Indiana or Ohio, Illinois, or Missouri first….
But, I’m with you. It seems like it would be a big shocker if that were to happen.

Man if the new 00z euro was a hair colder and a hair further to the south and east parts of KY could get a decent size snowfall(2-5) but if taken for verbatim areas near Indy would be in the sweet spot with parts of KY seeing some wrap around snow. Hey at least we have the possibility of snow…:)
