Good Saturday to one and all. It’s another seasonably hot day out there as we track two cold fronts toward Kentucky. The first front brings a low-end risk for severe weather on Sunday, with the second front bringing more widespread rain by the middle of the upcoming week.

Temps out there today are back into the 90-95 degree range for much of the state. Humidity levels remain in check, giving us a heat index on a few degrees toastier than the actual air temp.

There’s also the chance for a shower or storm to go up once again today. Here’s your daily dose of Kentucky radars to track whatever fires up…

The cold front sweeping in Sunday afternoon and Sunday night will bring a few rounds of showers and storms with it. Here’s the future radar…

A few strong to severe storms will be possible, but I’m not expecting anything widespread. The Storm Prediction Center has a low-end risk for Sunday severe storms…

Damaging wind is the main player with any storm that pulses up to severe levels.

Monday feels better with a mix of sun and clouds and temps in the 80s.

A strong southwest wind for Tuesday can really boost temps way up there. Low and middle 90s are a good possibility across the entire region and this may very well be the hottest day of the year, so far. You have been warned.

There’s also the chance for a storm going up into the afternoon and evening hours.

Another cold front drops in Wednesday into Thursday with more widespread showers and thunderstorms. This may even slow down a bit, allowing for a weak low to develop along it. That’s something the models have been seeing…

EURO

Temps drop way down with this system with a bounce back likely by the last weekend of June. That’s also when we may see the northwestern sky start to throw some thunderstorms at us…

I think that’s something we are going to see much more of in July as a monster heat ridge gets established in the Plains states…

The chance is there for some REALLY hot periods around here with that type of a setup. It will come at us in jabs from the west and southwest with clusters of big time storms riding around that ridge and impacting our weather.

To the tropics we go now. The system off the Florida coast never developed before it moved inland. The next system deep in the southern Gulf of Mexico still looks to develop…

Have a sensational Saturday and take care.
