Good Thursday, everyone. It’s another pleasant temperature day across the region but some steamy times are getting ready to kick back in. This takes control for the weekend into early next week before a cold front sweeps in with big changes.

Today is decent humidity day as temps get back into the normal range under a mix of sun and clouds. There’s still the chance for a shower or storm to go up, especially during the afternoon and evening. Here are your radars to follow anything scattered that goes up…

The chance for a shower or storm is there on Friday and into the upcoming weekend as temps surge into the upper 80s and low 90s for many. Humidity levels will add to that just a bit. There is the chance for a few stronger clusters of storms to drop in from the northwest at some point over the weekend.

Showers and storms look to increase by Tuesday and Wednesday as we get a dip in the jet stream across the eastern half of the country. That brings a front through by the middle and end of the week and this may produce some strong or severe storms ahead of it…

Here’s that dip in the jet stream on the Euro…

Notice how that leaves a bit of energy trying to cut off in the Mississippi Valley.

The EURO is a really hot model as we have discussed many times, but even this model is seeing the chance for below normal temps later next week into the following weekend…

I’m going to look ahead to the rest of summer and into fall with my next update.

Have a great Thursday and take care.
