Good Sunday to one and all. It’s another absolutely awesome weather day across Kentucky as our September preview continues. We will slowly change it up in the week ahead as the chances for showers and storms begin to show up.

Temps this morning are in the 50s with partly cloudy skies. We should see a little more clouds out there today compared to Saturday and there’s the smallest chance for a few sprinkles or a light shower to zip across the state.

The chances are really low, but our Kentucky radars are always on duty…

Highs this afternoon range from the upper 70s to low 80s with low humidity levels once again.

Humidity levels remain low into Monday and Tuesday with highs back into the pleasant 80-85 degree range. There is a little moisture trying to push across the region during this time and this may fire up some scattered stuff, especially later Tuesday…

The pattern after this features another big upper level low spinning into the eastern half of the country as a tropical system develops in the Caribbean. How this two interact continues to be a work in progress as the models are having a difficult time handling each feature, let alone any possible interaction.

The GFS brings us the increasing chance for showers and storms later in the week into next weekend and, even into early the following week. Some of the GFS runs try to capture Ernesto to be and drag it toward the east coast…

Again, the models are trying to figure out how everything plays together upstairs…

The EURO is farther east with the cutoff low, but does have a second feature coming in behind it…

Have a great Sunday and take care.
