Good Wednesday, folks. It’s the middle of the week and we have a weak cold front sliding in from the northwest. While this front is dry, the one coming in behind it has the chance to bring a few gusty showers in here to start the upcoming weekend.

Let us begin with today and roll forward.

Highs today hit 75-80 on a strong southwest wind that can gust to 30mph at times. We will see some clouds in here, but these aren’t very concentrated and won’t produce rain.

Temps will come down with upper 30s by Thursday morning with highs in the 60s.

The numbers jump right back into the 70s for Friday as that southwest wind cranks back up ahead of the stronger cold front. This should be able to squeeze out a line of showers with some embedded thunder through early Saturday.

Here’s the NAM showing this well…

A much cooler winds keeps temps in the 60s for Saturday with Sunday looking seasonably chilly with upper 50s to low 60s…

Our roller coaster temp pattern keeps rolling into early next week with highs back into the 70s for the closing days of October. We know a system heads our way at some point later next week, but it continues to be a work in progress on how it evolves.

The EURO AI brings this system in late on Halloween with additional systems following it through the first week of November, ending with colder air being unlocked…

What happens next week and into early November may be dictated by what, if anything, happens in the tropics. This is one of the reasons the models are flipping around so darn much and that’s especially true with the GFS.

The latest run shows multiple systems trying to spin up in the Caribbean during this time…

Until the models figure out what’s real and what’s not down there, you’re going to continue to see some pretty hefty model swings in the coming days.

Have a wonderful Wednesday and take care.
