Good evening, everyone. We are putting the wraps on an absolutely awesome weather day across the region and I hope you had a chance to get out and enjoy it. Big changes are on the way for the week ahead and these changes may include the first flakes or the season!

My time is short and y’all pretty much know the setup for the week ahead. The only thing left to do is iron out the details to see which areas, if any, can get in on some winter weather by Thursday and Friday.

The first system is still on pace to roll in with showers and storms Monday night and Tuesday. Another low then pops near us on Wednesday as the huge upper level low spins in from the west. As that low deepens, gusty showers develop on Wednesday with colder air coming in Wednesday night and Thursday. That’s when the low spins back around from the north and northwest into our region with rain and some snow possible Thursday and Friday.

The GFS is still too progressive for my taste, but it has some light snow and flakes across central and eastern Kentucky…

The Canadian Model continues to offer our best chance for some snow from this whole setup. It also brings a separate system in from the northwest to keep a few flakes going into the start of the weekend…

The EUROPEAN Model is joining the Canadian in showing a few waves of light snow working through the region…

The best chance to see the first flakes of the season is across central and eastern Kentucky. We will see how things shake out in the next few days to know exactly how this thing plays out.

The Thanksgiving week and weekend pattern continues to look active with several systems sweeping across the country, likely impacting travel plans.

The latest run from the EURO ENSEMBLES for the long Thanksgiving holiday weekend and into December is taking on a pretty healthy winter…

I’ll see you guys back here later tonight. Have a good one and take care.
