Good evening, everyone. Snow showers and squalls are winding down across the region as we look ahead toward a cold night in the Commonwealth. This up and down pattern looks to continue with several systems on the way for the coming days.
We know tonight and Thursday finds drying skies and cold winds across the region. From there, we time a system moving in with rain over the weekend and it will be followed up by another rainmaker early next week…
The trend will be for a system every couple of days next week with colder air coming in behind each one and the chance for winter weather later in the week. Even the GFS is finally starting to see this potential…
The EURO AI doesn’t show precipitation types but you can see how it still likes the chance for snow on the weekend before Christmas…
It keeps the cold air coming during this time…
I’ll get more into that setup later tonight. Until then, I have your tracking tools including our Kentucky Weather Cams to watch the flakes flying across different parts of the state…
Have a wonderful Wednesday and take care.
