Good Friday to one and all. We are working our way into the weekend with a refreshing brand of air blowing into the bluegrass state. This won’t last long, so get out and soak it up. It’s no secret our summer has been a soaker one that hasn’t featured very much hot weather. Where do we go from here?
The models are keying on more of the same as we go through the next month. They suggest the wetter than normal pattern will persist and also keep the real heat away from us. This is the weekly forecast from the CFS Model…
The orange and red represents above normal and the green shows the below normal readings. While we will get in on some toasty temps from time to time… the heat doesn’t look to lock in for an extended run. That model actually shows a cool start to August.
Let’s take it out even farther and check on the month of December…
That’s a cold look across the eastern half of the country.
Let’s not forget about the short term. Here’s where we go this weekend into next week…
– Today”s weather looks great for many with low humidity levels and temps around 80. It should be noted that a few models try to pop a shower in the far east.
– A Few storms will move back in from east to west as we had into Saturday.
– A daily threat for a storm will be with us from Sunday through next week as humidity levels spike.
Make it a great Friday and take care.
Outside this morning and feels a tad… chilly! In the 50’s in mid-July, hottest time of year (statistically.)
Thanks Chris! You are so appreciated! For the first time in 15 years I decided not to open the my pool this year, and I am glad! Not good pool weather for me!
High of 80 with a dewpoint in the 50’s? This is more like Late September than Mid-July. No argument about this from me though!
Great day in Frankfort, got that yard work done without a major melt down for a change, windows open also today 🙂
Looks like a great pattern, except for the rain. Maybe this will result in a nice snowy winter with record breaking snowfalls. We have to make up for the past few years…RIGHT? LOL Thanks Chris….love this blog.
Looking forward to the cooler than normal weather, especially heading into the fall and winter!

After the refreshment we are experiencing right now, this is gonna feel brutal (and 6 consecutive days or more of that weather going to seem pretty extended).
I think you meant July not June LOL 😉
