Good Thursday and welcome to September in July. Simply put… the weather does not get much better than this for any time of the year, let alone July. This cooler than normal pattern is going to continue over the next week and change. Temps late weekend into early next week may even flirt with record lows.
Today’s weather looks great with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s with a partly sunny sky. Friday starts in the 50s and ends in the 80-85 degree with a touch more humidity.
Our next cold front arrives this weekend with scattered showers and storms ahead of the boundary on Saturday. Check out the cool air behind this bad boy…
That deserves a big old WOW. Temps behind that front will be in the 70s for a few days with lows that will dip well into the 50s. Record lows could be challenged by Sunday and Monday.
The pattern by the middle of next week will see the cool air relaxing with warmer and more humid air fighting toward us from the southwest. That likely spells rounds of showers and thunderstorms and those show up on the GFS…
You also see something brewing in the tropics. The model tries to bring Dorian toward the southeastern seaboard before the week is over. It’s that time of year.
Make it a great Thursday and take care.
It’s near the time of the year (mainly in September) when the tropics get active, the first season frosts and cooler temps around the US. Even some severe weather happens around this time too.
Looking forward to getting out and enjoying it.. Sooo tired of the humidity and high dew points.
Is it too early to have any fall predictions?
