Is one system supposed to be here Sunday then another Tuesday or is the one from Sunday coming in later than expected?
it appears that it’s just going to be moving slower.
What exactly does a ‘more west solution’ versus a ‘better for us’ solution mean? What I really want to know is does it look like we will get slammed in the Laurel/Clay area???
Hmmm are we getting anywhere close to a Winter Storm Threat because I think January would feel extremely jipped to not get in on the action that December had lol……what are you thinking in the Paintsville area?
I can’t even THINK about next week’s possible storm yet! I’m too excited about the possibility of having a day out of school Friday. Let’s slow down and savor each exciting snow chance one at time, can we? Tee hee!!

Clipper type system moving through Thur-Fri with light snow through Sat. Mon-Tues shows more promising event. Means GFS is agreeing with other models that KY could see a good amount of snow.

No meterologist but i would say ‘more west’ means the storm will me closer to ky when it moves up the east coast..If the models hold up it looks like all of ky may get slammed..

it might be 6 days away but would you rather, know in advance or get slammed and have nothing to eat, drink. I for one love this blog, and I want to know whats coming at us in a week. Chris does a great job at letting us know.
00z gfs has the southeast ridge chris has been talking about tracking the storm further west. We’ll see if the trend holds.
Anyone else have a feeling, we will being see the New Madrid fault having an earthquake.. after all A. its been 200 years since the classic 1811, and we have had some signs lately lol i dont know something to think about i guess, however, it would mess a lot of stuff up.

what does it mean if the track is further west? I live in central Ky and local stations are only saying a dusting to 1″ with the thursday-friday system. Just wondering what to expect.
Man, I hope NAM & GFS shifts north! If not, Huntsville,AL will get more than Louisville on Mon-Tue. I knew I should have taken that 2 dollar offer last week to sell my snow shovel.
