The more things change, the more they stay the same.
Have a great Thursday and take care.

I was looking at the NAM and EURO you posted a couple days ago and that never happened yesterday. I think that is why people were saying it was a bust. The rain was never as widespread as those suggested. Here in Louisville I have not seen a drop of rain for awhile now. Eastern Jefferson County has had some rain, but not here where I live.

I’m in the Seneca Park area and haven’t seen a drop in weeks. After a very wet month or so it’s now starting to get really dry around here. Looking like another dry day and night for me. What I do have is some serious heat and humidity.

I guess Tennessee is robbing our storms again today from looks of the latest radar, .20 in of rain in east Frankfort so far, long way to go for the 2 to 3 inch totals that are being predicted!

If you get under one of those individual cells you will sing a different tune.. They’re capable of dropping 2-3 inches in 45 min. These are summertime storms, everybody’s backyard is going to get a different amount of rain. If you can’t understand that, you shouldn’t even visit a weather blog. Consider yourself lucky that you only got .2 instead of the folks that got washed away a couple counties south of you last evening!

Yeah, this system has been an underachiever. Kinda like those winter storms that never materialize or go somewhere else.

“Tennessee is robbing…”. Todd, there’s a reason they choose to all wear orange down there. 😉

Here in northwest Lex we had HEAVY rain yesterday evening and then again this morning. I think over an inch….It was torrential and blowing.

As Chris predicted, there have been “clusters” of storms. Per the KY Mesonet, a few areas have already topped an inch and a half. But these areas are scattered, with many areas remaining dry (so far).
Yes, Tennessee seems to have gotten the brunt of the action, at least here in the Nashville area. Had a couple good downpours with lightning, some wind. Minor street flooding. When I got home from work, it was evident the power had gone out as the clocks and such had reset themselves.

The “boot heel” of Missouri and northeastern Arkansas are under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until midnight (central time). Thus, those in Kentucky and Tennessee along the Mississippi River need to be on guard for damaging winds, large hail. Low chance of an isolated twister.

Still amazed that people come on here and complain because the “forcast” that Chris puts out wasn’t right. It’s weather, nobody knows for sure, get over it or don’t visit or comment on site.
