Good Thursday afternoon to one and all. Humidity has increased across the region today and we continue to deal with scattered showers and storms. These storms will be off and on through tonight and early Friday. That’s when we watch for the development of widespread showers and thunderstorms.

A cold front enters the picture by Friday night and Saturday. That will funnel in tropical moisture from the Gulf and will lead to widespread showers and storms. Some of these storms may be strong Friday evening. The future radar from the NAM looks troublesome for high school football fans…

GFSSeveral areas may be looking at 1″+ rains into early Saturday. The deepest moisture will push to our east by Saturday afternoon as instability showers and storms bubble up.

Cool air filters in for the rest of the weekend into early next week. Highs Sunday will be in the 60s for a lot of folks with lows down into the low and mid 40s.
