Temps ahead of the front will be in the 50s and then quickly drop behind the boundary. Northwesterly winds will kick in tonight and early Sunday…
That flow isn’t perfect for some upslope stuff across the high mountains in the east, but it can keep a shower around tonight. A wet flake in the highest elevations?
Sunday will be a breezy day with highs in the upper 40s and low 50s. This is when our back and forth pattern kicks in. Check out the trough/ridge battle…
Ahead of each trough… showers and some thunder will be possible. The next round of that comes Wednesday into early Thursday. Again… this pattern can lead to a lot of rain over the next 2-3 weeks.
For those asking about the winter forecast… mark your calendar for the week of November 18th. 🙂
Have a great day and set the clocks back tonight. Take care.
Regarding the winter forecast –
the past two winters, I don’t recall seeing a winter forecast. Is it a typical post or is it located in a link on this blog?
I believe in the last two years, Chris has done it on live TV only. I remember video segments were available on WKYT.com
If he posts it there will be just a normal post and you are correct nothingthe last 2 winters
Good morning , fellow weather nerds. Thanks for the update Chris. Have to work today and was wondering how to dress. Have to tell you though, I am not fond of roller coasters , and the weather pattern looks like we are starting on that kind of a ride. We will just jump in and hang on, I guess. Have a great Saturday, everyone , and GO BIG BLUE!!!
I’m ready for that winter forecast
Thanks Chris
Just had some hail here in Lawrenceburg along with some brief heavy rain. I for one am glad for the time change. I grew up in Central time, hence these 8:00 A.M. sunrises are not something I enjoy.
I know what you mean Chris Mercer. I lived in Cookeville, TN for a long time, so I was also on Central Time. And Chris Bailey, I too am looking forward to the winter forecast. 🙂
