Good Friday evening, gang. Arctic air is ready to pour into the state from the northwest and this will give us a frigid weekend. Looking at some of the latest data, wind chills may drop into the single digits at times Saturday night and Sunday morning. Throw in the chance for a few flurries and… BRR!
The models continue to waffle a bit on the evolution of the Tuesday/Wednesday storm system. But, many do bring a swath of light snow across the region during this time. For entertainment purposes only, here’s a look at the current snowfall projections from a couple of models…
All of that will change from run to run, but I do expect the models to get a good handle on this later Saturday into Sunday.
Enjoy the evening and take care.
That is the track/map flow of the pre 1999 oldschool events Rolo always calls at least twice a winter 🙂 😉 Except here there is no oldschool snow levels for this one, but maybe teeny tiny sign of something down the road this winter??
When it rains us out that will be your sign BubbaG
the typical end around track
When is the last time we had two measurable snows in November? I can’t remember…I’d say this is a pretty good start to the winter season!
I predict 2-4 inches from laurel county east and se, and ne into pike co
I could see that happening for some of the southern counties on the northwest side of the system if dynamic cooling kicks in…Would turn from rain to snow quicker….GFS is still out to lunch in my opinion…Or is it?
