Another short ranger going for a bit more snow across the northern areas…
That’s a model with 4km resolution, which is pretty darn good.
If you’re wondering… my goal tonight is to post as many obscure model snowfall maps as I can. Take that, haters. 😉
Take care.
Thanks for rubbing it in on the rain soaked folks :p
Go, Chris, go! Keep doing what you’re doing…haters r gonna hate no matter what. You’re awesome!
that is hilarious
this is awesome Chris, maybe these crackpot models are on to something.let the snow keep on riding the mighty Ohio River. by the way can I send you my own model.lol
Interesting, Fox 41 just showed there future radar and surprisingly enough it showed a decent robust swath of snow for north central and central KY. 1-2 inches is what fox 41 in Louisville is thinking.
Lol..good one Chris…
Hilarious Chris! Cracked me up. Love these models. Thanks for all the time you give the blog. Btw, impressed
how you alerted us to this over a week ago. Kudos!
You GO Chris! I’m not in a very good mood anyway, myself. Admittedly, wasn’t expecting anything snow-worthy here in Nelson Co. (per your forecast, or anyone else’s..lol!) and didn’t get it. Oh, well. Next time (perhaps?!).
you know Chris I live in Louisville and if this does not pan out I’m going after you tomorrow on this blog. this snowfall you’re predicting notice I said you’re predicting better happened.
let the hype begin.lol
Yes! Let’s all get mean and nasty to Chris tomorrow since it is all his fault. I am sure it will make us feel awesome!
Some of the posters earlier today were ridiculous.
Keep ’em coming Chris! Love it.
Chris you do awesome job!!!!!! Keep up the great job you do in keeping us safe. We are blessed to have you.
Keep the maps coming and keep doing the terrific job of keeping us up to date on all the weather in KY!
Thank you Chris!
I don’t post as much as I use too, but still read everyday. So, I did notice the last two post showed models I’d never seen. I must be losing touch….
Chris your dedication to the website is much appreciated. I own a snow removal business and there’s no one any better than you at predicting the forecast. I live in Charleston, WV and follow your blog for my forecast only. Miss you at WSAZ.
Tim, I am just as dedicated as a wedding coordinator. I rely on this blog, especially during the summer for rain and storms and then winter to see if guests are going to able to attend the wedding through the ice and snow. We might need to have a plan B for the throwing of rice, rose petals or such. My business relies on the reliable.
Does anyone have any ice or snow falling from whats showing on radar now or is it all evaporating before reaching the ground still? Btw chris, loving the new models as well..shake it up a bit.. maybe u should run for political office..i think you got a big enough support base on here to help get you elected lol! We love ya for what ya do for us!
Love all the maps and inf, just bring some snow
Don’t post much but I love this blog and will always trust Chris’s forecast thank for everything you do CB !!!
I would dearly love to ban the word “hater.” Name calling, even tongue in cheek and even in response to negative comments, is never constructive.
What ever happened to civil discourse and being able to disagree without being disagreeable?
Heavy band of snow coming from central TN, watch for a quick inch or 2.
You know what? I’ve been quiet. I’m an avid visitor of this site and never post because I don’t have the tools or knowledge to add to most conversations. I visit this address at least three times per day because Chris ALWAYS gives us what we NEED to hear and warns us of possible dangerous weather. He does this in a respectful way that is also entertaining to read. It is this simple: if you don’t agree with or like what Chris has to say, then don’t visit. We don’t want to read your thoughts anyway. Keep up the FANTASTIC job, Chris.
I am wondering now about some of those forecasts. My temp. is 32 and mesonet reports 32 as of 3:30. Todays high was supposed to get to 38 according to weather.com. They say that tonight’s low will be 35. It is 32 right now. I know it can warm up at night but it seems there afternoon temperature was off by 6 degrees. Wondering if it will be colder tonight or if we should expect a warmup. Ice is decently thick, over a .25 inch and holding strong. With more precipitation supposedly coming I hope this does not turn into a rough situation with trees already sagging. Relative of my wife said she had no electric earlier, not sure if they have it repaired. I can say that these sagging trees do not need much help to fall with this wet ground. Out getting pictures I heard a few trees fall up the hill behind my house.
