Good Tuesday, evening. A frigid night is just beginning as temperatures slowly drop into the teens by Wednesday morning. We get another surge of arctic air to push in by Wednesday night and this may cause a few flurries to fly around. But, it’s all eyes on the weekend and a system that’s trending colder.
The European Model continues to be among the coldest models…
The NAM only goes out through late Friday evening, but is also honing in on the colder look…
A mix of rain and snow is likely Friday night with a switch to a cold rain a good bet on Saturday. That all goes back to a period of snow and then some snow showers and squalls into Saturday night and Sunday.
We begin to watch the northwest for systems diving into the region by early next week. One of those clippers is likely to try to crank into a bigger storm.
Enjoy the evening and take care.
Yup we can handle the water bring on the cold rain
Think positive. Eventually, we may actually stay cold enough for several clippers in a row to become overachievers when they get here. Remembering a few winters ago when we got an inch or two every other day or so where snow was falling on top of snow. Once that gets going, we will hopefully be stuck in that cold pattern when a southern storm shows us some love.
Chris, would you say there is at least a chance for a fairly widespread snow day next week in Central Kentucky??
Come to Madison county where we don’t need any snow to call it off. Zoweeeee!
Loving this winter so far! Keep up the great work!
Ky river strongest river in the world!
I feel like it’ll be a rain with a coating of snow. THE DOME LIVES ON. But seriously, thanks Chris for all that you do. I’m sure if you could give us 8-12 inches of snow, you would.
CB, I will respectfully accept anything you say for snow as long as Richmond and areas near it are not part of it. The rivah’ is killah’ for snow and too many misses to believe we will see a snow beyond an ankle biter. It just is what it is. Meh.
Case in point, you refer to the north of the state in your new tweet. Sounds reasonable to me.
Up to 3 inches of ice and snow in my backyard this year bubba, so life is good 40 miles north of Madison co!
