Good Thursday evening. A Winter Weather Advisory is now out for far northern Kentucky for Friday night into Saturday. This is for our next messy system rolling in for the weekend. Here’s a look at the counties included in the advisory…

 SPECIAL

I would imagine that gets extended a bit farther south in time. Precipitation moving in here Friday evening will be in the form of rain, a touch of sleet and snow. Temps will drop a bit and that allows for snow to take over for several areas into early Saturday morning.

The GFS Model continues to put some front end snow on the ground…

GFS

The European Model is just a tad farther south…

EuroEither way… most areas go over to light rain on Saturday as temps go a little above freezing. I have my doubts that far northern parts of the state will crack 32 degrees. Light snow and snow showers will take over across the entire area Saturday night into Sunday as the low goes by to our northeast.

A full update comes tonight. Take care.
