Good Friday afternoon. What a gorgeous day we have going on out there… go out and play and enjoy life. If you don’t get the chance today, Saturday looks even better with temps nearing 50 degrees. After that… it all comes crashing down.

Let’s get into it…

– Rain arrives from south to north Saturday night and sets us up with a soggy Sunday. Some areas of the east may pick up another inch of water.

– The arctic front swings in Sunday night with a band of light snow behind it…

NAM 1

– Snow showers and flurries will join gusty wind and cold temps to provide us with a wintry Monday.

– Watch for a weak system to dive into the region from the northwest New Year’s Eve or Day. That can bring a swath of light snow with it.

– Another system dives in on Thursday and this one has a chance to develop into something bigger. The models have been hinting at this for a long time and the GFS is now picking up on it, but it shows the storm to our south and east…

GFS

– Given the track record of the GFS and the models… that’s exactly where you want to see it from this far out. 🙂

– Yet another system dives in beind that and will also have the chance to develop…

GFS 2Buckle up… we have lots of winter action over the next several weeks.

Take care.
