Good Friday afternoon. What a gorgeous day we have going on out there… go out and play and enjoy life. If you don’t get the chance today, Saturday looks even better with temps nearing 50 degrees. After that… it all comes crashing down.
Let’s get into it…
– Rain arrives from south to north Saturday night and sets us up with a soggy Sunday. Some areas of the east may pick up another inch of water.
– The arctic front swings in Sunday night with a band of light snow behind it…
– Snow showers and flurries will join gusty wind and cold temps to provide us with a wintry Monday.
– Watch for a weak system to dive into the region from the northwest New Year’s Eve or Day. That can bring a swath of light snow with it.
– Another system dives in on Thursday and this one has a chance to develop into something bigger. The models have been hinting at this for a long time and the GFS is now picking up on it, but it shows the storm to our south and east…
– Given the track record of the GFS and the models… that’s exactly where you want to see it from this far out. 🙂
– Yet another system dives in beind that and will also have the chance to develop…
Buckle up… we have lots of winter action over the next several weeks.
Take care.
Why are my comments not showing????
Well, there it is! Getting excited! Please, Lord, let us see SNOW! A BIG one
Bubbacoins…… The currency of the Dark Side?
If we could have a scribe to document all the snow calls for the winter, we could then compare with the actual results. Such a comparison is known as a correlation coefficient (R square). A perfect score would be 1 and anything less is a decimal value less than one. 🙂
I ain’t doing this 😉 For brother Rolo calls, we would need to apply a quadratic equation, since there is nothing linear about Rolocasts- they go up and down as time progresses 🙂
Most of us are fairly linear, so a quadratic equation is not needed. Case in point, I go by the actual results and they are not exactly going up so far. Pretty straight line in that regard.
A little tech humor for the day 🙂 I could also throw some regression and marginal time series trend analysis, but that would be going overboard a tad. 😉
Well, then, maybe Seth-coins. After all I am the Seth-Lord and all things Darth answer to me. 🙂
We must nail ole Hans-rolo down and hold him to his ridiculous snow calls.
Looks like we got much warmer than expected. Does this mean a lot will bust 60 tomorrow? Seems maybe.
Darn Seth lords. They probably unleashed the torch! Flame on!
looks like what was forecasted to me.
Them Seth lords love Nickelback too lol. 😀
I’ve been an avid fan for the last few years. I appreciate and enjoy most of the color commentating, but sometimes I wanna scream “WHAT” in the heck are you talking about? Around here we call it “jibberish”, useless verbiage.
PS. Thanks Chris for all you do!
Agreed! Wish some of the “children” would find another blog to play with. 🙁
This Sunday rain system is normaly a snow path but not this time, no cold air in place, seems normal for KY sadly enough, hoping for a nice clipper or two in the days to come!
It is really sad that it has come to this.
The only possibility for any snow accumulation is the almighty clipper.
Desperation has set in.
On the 6th day of winter that took longer rhan expected 😉
