Good evening, gang. Right on cue… a mix of light rain, sleet and snow continues to work eastward across the bluegrass state. This could be enough to put down a coating of sleet and snow for some and may also cause a slick spot or two.
The action scoots through pretty quickly as temps hold in the low to middle 30s for most of the evening. We could actually see thermometers rise a bit by tomorrow morning. That will lead us into much warmer air tomorrow with highs around 50.
A cold front brings rain in here early Saturday with a better looking Sunday in store.
All models not named the GFS bring a system our way from the south late Monday into Tuesday. The European Model continues to show a rain to snow maker…
That’s followed by a nice shot of cold for the middle and end of next week. More on all this and some changing thoughts on February. 😉
Have a good one and take care.
Highs around 50! I’ll take it and be happy!
Brick Tamland says fear the fence and the 33 degree rule.
I’ve almost been converted to the dark side on the rain to snow systems. One more system like Sunday will complete the conversion. I’m not excited about a snow potential anymore unless we get “clipper mania.” Clippers always seem to overachieve in this part of Kentucky.
It will be good to be able to get my outdoor Christmas decorations taken down this Sunday. To the delight of my neighbors I’m sure. Thanks CB for all you do.
Interested in hearing your thoughts about February but please do include the rest of January as well.
