Good Thursday everyone and thanks for dropping in on the blog on what is yet another gorgeous day across Kentucky. If you are wanting more of the stuff mother nature is throwing our way… this is the forecast for you. The days of warm may be numbered as signs of a sustained change to chill are showing up in the longer term.
Our immediate future is filled with sunshine and warm temps…
Highs Today will range from around 80 in the west into the low and mid 70s east. This gorgeous fall weather is not one and done as the same forecast will play out Friday into the coming weekend. We will even add a few more degrees to today’s highs.
Things will change up a bit early next week a we see a cold front make a run at us by later Monday into Tuesday. This front will bring the threat for some showers to the region along with cooler temps. A much more important front may arrive by the end of next week into the following weekend. It is this front that may usher in a much colder pattern across much of the eastern half of the country. One that would likely get established during the second half of the month and carry us into October.
A couple of the indicies I look at are pretty suggestive of a pattern like that setting up…
Speaking of a colder pattern… folks across the highest elevations of the Appalachian Mountains will argue the cold patten has been here for a few days. Snowshoe, West Virginia had another morning of snow Wednesday…
Thoughts of winter dancing in your head yet? Have a great Thursday and take care.
I predict that at 21:30 Saturday, Auburn’s score will be equivalent to the temperature at Commonwealth Stadium, in degrees Fahrenheit.
Then it will be awful cold for sure! 🙂
…while Kentucky’s score will more closely resemble the Celsius reading.
Some fans you are…..
This has got to be the longest, most boring weather pattern in several years. Good gosh, how much longer can this dry pattern continue?? Stinks to be a weatherman cause there’s nothing to talk about. Mother nature, there’s this thing in your bag of tricks called RAIN…get to it.
Well, we always blame the snow dome when it doesn’t snow in the winter, well, it’s time to blame the rain dome!!!!
I thought it was suppose to be nice Saturday. Guess I better get the parka out…maybe it will even snow!!
hey there folks back from bwg for a few days. for the winter seeing some potential in Dec before a warm start to 2011, thanks to a strong la-nina.
