Good Saturday to one and all and welcome to yet another boring weather weekend across the state. This is the time of year when things are normally quiet to begin with… but the past month has been nothing short of boring. So it is time to put things on Autopilot as we roll into this Saturday.

Let’s break it all down with the headlines…

– The sun will rule the sky again today as temps begin to warm. Highs will work into the low 80s in the east as the west warms into the upper 80s to near 90.

– Sunday will feature more warmth moving into the area as the west will likely see 90… again… as the east warms into the middle 80s. A few clouds will move in by the end of the day.

– A front will sag toward us by Sunday night and early Monday. This front actually has some pretty cool air behind it… but the front will never clear the region. It will bring some slightly cooler air in here for Monday as temps get knocked down a few degrees from Sunday’s highs… especially in the north.

– That same front is… wait… wait for it… moisture starved!! I know… that is absolutely shocking to hear! It MIGHT have enough juice with it to bring a light shower to the north and east.

– Summer temps surge back in here for the middle of next week as highs return to the upper 80s and low 90s. Would you expect the last days of calendar summer to end any differently this year?

– A cold front will try to swing in here by the end of next week to bring the temps back down and that will also be our next best chance for some rain.

– The long range call is still for all this cold air building up in Canada to make a charge southward into the eastern half of the country toward the end of the month into the first week of October.

Ok… that is all I can give you on this Autopilot Saturday. Roger, Roger!   Have a good one and take care.
