Good Saturday to one and all. While we are all enjoying a very nice day out there… the seeds are already being planted for an out and out real deal Heat Wave for the entire state next week. For some areas… this could be the hottest air of what has been a hot summer already.
Here is your weather headline breakdown…
– Enjoy today! Highs will range from the low and mid 80s for most of the area under sunny skies. Humidity levels will be down as well giving us a comfy day. The west will be warmer with readings in the upper 80s to near 90.
– Temps will warm up a few degrees more for Sunday with mid and upper 80s with more in the way of sunshine. Highs out west will hit the 90-95 degree range.
– Monday will see our heat wave really taking hold as 90-95 degree readings move in. Western Kentucky will head toward 100.
– Tuesday and Wednesday look nothing short of HOT! These could be the hottest days of the summer so far for many areas. Daytime highs should easily reach the middle 90s with upper 90s a strong possibility. Who can get to 100? Well… western parts of the state will do it easily and I think the 100 degree line may come farther east into the state than what we had last week.
– Throw in high humidity levels and the heat index values will reach the danger category once again.
– The good news is that thunderstorms should move in by Thursday and Friday to knock the heat back to our west. But… the damage may already have been done by that point.
Moral of the story… enjoy what is out there this weekend.
Have a great Saturday and take care.
There is no way it will be any hotter than what it was this past Wednesday..
If Moscow is hitting the 100’s then I am betting with no rain Lexington will do it this week coming up. We also probably won’t get the cooling rain and storms after.
Jake
Here is an ODD fact (If this posts) I’ve been moderated the last five times.
All time high temp in Lexington KY is 108
All time high temp in Birmingham, Al is 107
How strange is that? Especially since Lexington seems to have one of the cooler thermometers (relatively speaking)
Thanks CB. This really has been a hot summer, one of the hottest I remember, and the fact that we have not had anything but a light sprinkle of rain in the last month and a half makes it even worse. Oh well I am going outside to enjoy the cool dry air while I can. Later all.
It is just beautiful outside this morning. We finally got AC in our old farmhouse. Just in time for next week.
Saw CB twitter on Cordero. Why the hate? He didn’t give up a hit. Just waled 3 guys and hit a batter. LOL Really though just glad to see them pull it out.
Forget the treadmill Chris, someone just needs to introduce Cordero to the strike zone.
Hello, man! I am absolutely acclaim that way of assessment and all of joined.
