Good Thursday everyone. Since we are going to have rounds of thunderstorms moving across the region tonight through Thursday I wanted to give you guys a blog just to track the thunder with.
Some of the storms are likely to be severe and may produce damaging winds and large hail. All of the storms will contain the heavy rainfall that can cause some local high water problems.
Here are your storm tracking radars…
Here is the overall severe weather map from the Storm Prediction Center…
I will have updates as needed and will use Twitter for rapid fire updates and warnings. Follow me for those updates @Kentuckyweather . These will also show up in the twitter feed in the top right hand corner of this blog.
Take care.

Some pretty nasty storms here in South Central KY tonight. Here in Pulaski County we’ve had some intense lighting and heavy rain. Looks like another bad cell in Adair County.
It seems like the fronts this summer want to pass silently through central KY. So boring.
Guess this means hot and sunny for Lexington cause I know we won’t get a drop of rain.

I’m assuming that because the SPC doesn’t have us in a severe weather outbreak watch area that we’ll get nailed.
Had over 2″ of rain at my house in Pulaski Co. last night. I’ve had too much rain at my house the last month or so. Please, enough is enough.
The pollen on everything is terrible. We need rain and more rain!

Hail core showing up on the storm near Louisville now.
What was Lexington’s high yesterday? I’ve been trying to keep score.
Severe Tstorm Warnings… Franklin and Henry.
The KY Mesonet says it reahed 95 in Lexington. My home thermometer hit 97 at my house in Nicholasville. I would say 95-97 was the range for the area.
96. I believe the GFS Mos hit it on the number.
Nasty looking bow on the cell moving through southern Mason County. Know some folks in that part of the world…hope they don’t have too much stuff blown around.
Severe T’storm Watch now out for a good chunk of Kentucky.
