Good Sunday everyone and thanks a bunch for dropping by the blog. We are coming off of a very nice Saturday across the area and today should be pretty nice as well. The difference is we will throw a few more degrees your way. All this happens before we go into a rather stormy pattern for the new work week.
Since it is a Sunday and things are quiet today and will get a little busy this week. Let’s keep today’s post short and simple with the headlines…
– Today will feature more in the way of sunny skies as temps take a run toward the “almost hot” side with upper 80s to around 90.
– A cold front will move toward the region over the next few days. This will mean an increase in showers and thunderstorms of the scattered variety for Monday.
– Showers and storms should become much more widespread for Wednesday into Thursday. Locally heavy rains will be possible during this time and this could cause some high water concerns.
– The models are all having some issues in handling this system as feedback issues is giving them fits… especially the GFS. The European Model continues to lead the way with this setup.

That was a pretty wimpy tornado, but it sure did a number on that car.
yeah, and the car behind it was moving just in time!!!…that was pretty cool!!!…speaking of cool, what an awesome saturday it was indeed, low humidity, nice breeze…ahhh what a refreshing day it was..and the grass, wow!! what a difference in a couple of days after the rain on Friday…
surprised you didn’t mention any severe threat chris this week have to think there will be a few strong storms as modeling has it pretty unstable, mcs threat as well. spc has a slight risk over the next few days.
Was it supposed to rain today? I got everything ready for the kids to go swimming in the backyard, music going, prepped the grill and when I come in to get ready to pick up the wife from work the radar is all lit up with scattered showers and storms. First time in three years of following CB that I feel exposed:)
Jimmie….I’ve been looking at the maps….it still looks like most of the storms will be off to our west today. Hey, at least you’re checking things out—you should be just fine.
